Hey people sorry it took so long for me to write something on my site… but here it is:

I’m chilling over here, and no not yet literally chilling… It’s not that cold yet.
Everything is good I cook, I clean, I work, I wash, I love it!  haha don’t get me wrong, I rather have a somebody to do that stuff for me but I found out that I CAN live on my own… So there is no need to worry

Loaded Pictures is great, nice poeple, cool projects, a awsome eighborhood and last Saturday I had my first real assignment. Mile End is the neighborhood where Loaded Pictures is located, and this part has been THE artistic part of Montreal for decades… Artists, musicians, filmmakers, etc. all came down to this part of town to live  and to work here… And Saturday the streets where closed and people got out on the street to represent and showing their stuff, and there was also some sort of demonstrations against the tearing down of a “forrest” in the middle of Mile End, the city wants to build a concrete park there but the people of Mile End want it to stay the way it is. So the CCME (Citizens Committee of Mile End) asked Loaded Pictures to make a short film about the day, the people of Mile End and the issues that are going on here, and Sarah passed it on to me, I could do whatever I wanted and got to run around with a camera whole day long and shoot what I thought that should be in the movie!
I got to know some really great people who live here in the neighborhood and I just had a great fucking day man!

Now I have to capture it and see if I can make a story out of it… I hope so but I think it’ll work out, Sebastian and Selin are here to help me so, no problemo’s..

Hey there Dutchies…I forgot to mention that I found a new place…

Korbett, my teacher, arranged a place for me to stay until the 7th of October so I had 1 month to find something else. So, that should be plenty of time you’d think right? Well I scavenged the internet, craigslist and all sorts of studio/room/house/ apartment-sublet sites but everything is OR to expensive, OR the contract is untill april, may or June or it is too far away etc. But luckily for me my colleagues from Loaded Pictures we’re very helpful with finding a place and Sarah brought me in contact with a friend of her who is going to New York for three weeks. So I got a place for until November 1st. 2 cool roommates (read female roommates) and pretty close to work which is great because it is getting colder soon.

Now I only had to find something for the last three months. And I had to keep in mind that Mark is coming over from December 1st till the end so it had to at least a 2 bedroom place. And we are also getting some other guests from Holland so I needed to have enough room… Well everything is solved ladies and gentlemen and it’s freakin’ awesome!

Loaded Pictures is, let’s say, in the ” basement” of a big building. Right above Loaded Pictures lived a couple of “hippies” who got kicked out two weeks ago without any notice. The landlord gave them until midnight to pack their shit and be gone. So that sucked for them but they really made a mess of the place and always played loud music so it is understandable from his point of view but still… The good news for me is that Sebastian new the landlord pretty well so he went up there and asked him if he maybe could get the place and he got it!!! So he offered me to live with him. It is a big fucking place and he gets to draw a floorplan which the landlord will build for him… and it will be finished on the 1st of November!
